Tryst Theatre’s comedy Art
(Act 1) won the Scottish Community Drama Association's
one-act play festival in Inverness last month, and now
goes on to represent Scotland at the British Finals
in Swindon next month.
To help raise funds for the expensive trip, Tryst is
staging Art at a special FREE night
at Grangemouth’s Bowhouse Community Centre on
Sunday June 26 at 8pm.
Yes, it’s absolutely free; there’s no charge.
Come along, bring a friend and a bottle, enjoy the laughs...and
maybe make a wee donation towards our funds as you leave.
The story? Three actors. One painting. One hell of
a comedy!
Smug Serge has bought a modern abstract painting for
a huge sum of money. Miserable Marc hates it and cannot
believe that a friend of his could possibly want such
a ghastly work. Easy-going Yvan attempts, unsuccessfully,
to placate both sides while struggling with the disastrous
plans for his forthcoming wedding.
The three Tryst award-winning “artisans”
are Alan Clark, Craig Murray and Brian Paterson (pictured).
Free tickets are available from the Tryst Box Office
on 01324 715886, from club members or at the door on
the night. Don't forget to BYOB.
“Slick, smart, seriously funny: these three guys
play somewhere between the elegance of The Three Tenors
and the slapstick of The Three Stooges. Good wasn't
the word!” (Euan Perolari, Inverness Courier)
