Tryst Theatre were delighted to
lift the Jim Porteous Salver for second place at this year's
Scottish Final in the Church Hill Theatre, Edinburgh.
Their production of James Saunders' After Liverpool
was praised by adjudicator Tony Rushforth, who noted that
team had overcome many potential pitfalls in tackling the
piece.
One particular moment came in for high praise - the domestic
violence scene (portrayed by Brian Paterson and Rhona Law)
was described as absolutely "chilling" and saw the
club awarded the Donald T. Farmer Trophy for best moment in
theatre for the second year running.
After Liverpool will have one final performance
at the EK Rep One-Act Festival in East Kilbride where Tryst
will perform on Saturday 9th May.
